The roof of the Kobe Marine Museum has a white frame that is elegantly shaped and thought to resemble a wave or a mast of a ship. The beautiful structure stands prominently against the deep green colors of Mount Rokko and compares favorably along side the red lattice structure of the Kobe Port Tower, another prominent city landmark that is well-known for its long, narrow drum shape. At night, the Port Tower is lit up by red spotlights and is contrasted with the green spotlights of the Marine Museum to achieve a beautiful night view that is highly recommended.
