Totaling 3,911 meters in length, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the world and is affectingly nicknamed "Pearl Bridge." The colors of the lights illuminating Akashi Kaikyo Bridge change according to the season and combine with timed illumination patterns. On the hour, a rainbow pattern can be seen for five minutes, and this colorful spectacle has become a "must see" for those gripped by night view mania. The bridge is lit up from dusk and until midnight.
