From late July for three weeks, stalls line the riverbeds of the Arima River in celebration of the "Arima Ryofu River Festival." The view provides a very beautiful sight of rows of Japanese traditional umbrellas lit up by red lights to contrast the blue lights of the river bottom. Stalls line the banks, and visitors are treated to the dance of Arima geishas every night from 7 to 10 along with stage events and stalls featuring games such as ring tossing, super ball scooping, and coin dropping, and arcade shooting. It really is very lively.
