What is the check-in and check-out time?

The check-in time starts from 3:00 PM. The check-out time is limited to 10:00 AM.

Is it possible to enter the room before the check-in time?

Our check-in time is from 3:00PM. We can keep your luggage at our front desk if you arrive early. However, you will not get your key until 3:00PM.

What time do I need to check in by?

If your reservation includes dinner, please check in before 6:00 PM. If your reservation does not include dinner, please check in before 9:00 PM. Guests can not check in after the check-in time.

Is my passport required at the check-in time?

We require a passport at the time of check-in.
It is mandatory under Japanese law: since April 1st, 2005, under the relevant laws and regulations, the Japanese Government requires "foreign nationals who do not possess an address in Japan" to provide their *nationality and *passport number in addition to their *name, *address, and *occupation, etc. and to produce and make a copy of their passport upon checking in at lodgings.

Do you accept late check-outs?

Our check-out time is 10:00 AM. The extension of your stay will cost 2,200 yen per adult and 1,100 yen per child. (The maximum extension is until 11:00 AM.) Please inform us in advance if you would like a late check-out.

Can you keep our luggage after check-out?

We can keep your luggage at the front desk, even after you have checked out. We are not able to take your request to keep them longer than the day you checked out.

How do I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation via our website. *You can not make a reservation via telephone.

How can I make changes or cancel my reservation?

Please go through "Motoyu Ryuusenkaku Reservation Confirmation Form" to cancel your reservation if you booked directly through our website. If you have arranged your reservations through an online travel agent, please contact them to make changes.

What is the children plan in Motoyu Ryuusenkaku?

Depending on the age, children will be charged differently. Guests over 13 years are considered as adults. Charges for children under 13 years are listed below.

[When adults choose "No Meal Plan"]
Charge for children under 7 years using an existing futon is 1,650 yen per night.
Charge for children under 7 years using an extra futon is 3,850 yen per night.
Charge for 7 – 12 years old children using an extra futon is 5,500 yen per night.

[When adults choose "Breakfast Only Plan"]
Charge for children under 7 years using an existing futon is 1,650 yen per night.
Charge for children under 7 years using an extra futon is 3,850 yen per night.
Charge for 7 – 12 years old children using an extra futon with breakfast is 7,700 yen per night.
*If adults reserve "Breakfast Only Plan", breakfast charge will be free for children under 7 years.

[When adults choose "Half Board Plan"]
Charge for children under 7 years using an existing futon is 1,650 yen per night.
Charge for children under 7 years using an extra futon is 3,850 yen per night.
Charge for children under 7 years using an extra futon with kid's dinner is 7,700 yen per night.
Charge for 7 – 12 years old children using an extra futon with breakfast and kid's dinner is 9,900 yen per night.
7 – 12 year old children using an extra futon with breakfast and adult dinner are considered as adults.

Bathing tax (150 yen) will apply for children over 7 years.

How far is your ryokan from train station and bus station?

Within 15 minutes by walking from downtown. Please call +81-(0)78-904-0901 for our pick-up service. We are able to arrive within 10 minutes.

Are there parking lots?

There is parking lots for 30 cars. Parking lots are free of charge for our guests.

Is there a banquet hall for a group?

There is no banquet hall in our ryokan but we can accept 8 members for meal in the same room. It is hard to arrange for a group over 9 people.

Is it possible to smoke in the ryokan?

Smoking in the ryokan is prohibited except the smoking room located at the first floor. Smoking outside the smoking room (including electronic cigarette) will be fined 30,000 yen as violation fee.

Is it possible to enjoy hot spring as a day trip at Motoyu Ryuusenkaku?

There is no day trip plan in our ryokan. We would like to recommend other places for day trip hot springs as below:

Is it convenient for the disabled to stay?

It is inconvenient for the disabled. There is one step at entrance and no slope road for wheelchair. Some public hot spring bathtubs are not provided with handrail, there are steps in the bathtubs. Due to outside public hot springs are located on the mountain guests have to go down 30 stairs and wheelchair is not able to go over there. For the table style breakfast restaurant wheelchair are easily to go.

What kind of equipments are in the guest rooms?

There are bath towels, face towels, yukata, toothbrush, hairdryer, hairbrush, razor, small bags, shampoo, body soap and so on. Please contact our front desk directly if you need anything else.

Is there any WIFI to use?

The whole building is covered with free WIFI.

Are there vending machines?

Vending Machines are placed in the lobby and on the passage to the outside baths in the ryokan. Vending machines include variety of drinks as well as beer, chu-hai (Japanese cocktails), etc.

Do you have a laundry?

There are two washing machines and a clothes dryer on the passage to the outside baths in the ryokan. They are free of charge. Laundry detergent is sold for 100 yen per pack next to the washing machines.

Is there a curfew?

The entrance door is locked after 12:00 AM, so please return before midnight.

Do you exchange currencies?

We do not exchange any currencies.
